This farm has been in our family since 1895 when my great, great, grandparents slept in an old shed the first night on the farm and woke up covered with snow. The main house was built by my great grandparents 90 years ago. The terraces at our farm were created by my grandfather and his brothers with mules and plows to allow more water to gather for row cropping. The fences and handling facilities for our cows were all put up by the current generations
Scott and Rebecca Mullins live on and run Six Gen Farms with the help of our children, Will, Josh, and Laurel. When not farming, Scott and Rebecca are both local school teachers. Will is playing college football in North Carolina majoring in exercise science and Josh is in college at Auburn majoring in forestry. Laurel is the newest member of the family and at 2 years old enjoys running around with the dogs, checking the cows, and climbing any gate she can find.
Six Gen Farms is a 180 acre farm located 7 miles west of Clanton, Alabama. On the farm we have 3 dogs, 2 cats, up to 50 head of cattle, and many bass, bream, frogs, rabbits, deer, wild turkeys, bobcats, and many other animals.
